Pod2g: iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak For All Devices May be

One more  Shocking News from the Technology Master Mind’s (Pod2g’s) regarding an untethered iOS 5.1.x revealed which devices will be compatible once released. And now, according to Pod2g’s knowledge and information, he confirmed that the iPhone 3GS and the third-gen iPod touch have been tested as working along with the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S  all these sets and models are compatible with this latest iOS software via a tweet on Twitter and last but not the least each i-Pad iteration will also be supported. Although the iPad 2′s jailbreak currently only covers the Wi-Fi model, both the Wi-Fi an CDMA versions of the recently released new iPad will see the untethered jailbreak!

For the sake of clarification, here’s a definitive list of the story so far:

Supported

  • iPhone 4/4S
  • iPad 1
  • iPad 2 (Wi-Fi only)
  • iPad 3 (Wi-Fi/CDMA)
  • iPod touch 3G/4G
Being worked on, and will likely be supported
  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPad 2 (GSM/CDMA/Wi-Fi R2)
  • iPad 3 Global
  • Apple TV 2nd Gen
Unsupported
  • Apple TV 3rd Gen

Couple of weeks before a tool for the  jailbreak is developed and officially released to the public, but as we had seen the impressive progress, it would’nt be too much of a surprise to see many more devices added before the release. The iPad 2/new iPad and the iPhone 4/4S are the “main” devices, the priority has been ensuring that they are jail breakable, but a more universal break will certainly be more than welcome.
