The airmail has a 3 layer design to maximize protection, several buyer have reported that they have dropped their phone several times and it is still in perfect condition. It also has a coating both inside and outside to help prevent scratches. Overall the case is designed very nicely and provides you with access to all your normal features (unlike some of the knockoffs).
