Introduced as the new Generation iPod nano model, the Seventh Generation in the series is bringing a new set of features for the Apple followers. The Apple iPod nano 16GB (7th Generation) is the newest model in the market, in a classic Slate color with a sleek model design. It is being praised as the “thinnest iPod nano” design yet, as it replaces the previous 8.78mm thick model with its exclusive 5.4mm thick body.

Apart from that it also comes out with a larger and high resolution screen for better experience while watching videos in a conveniently handy manner. Supporting Mac OS 10.6.80 and Windows XP, it uses iTunes 10.7 at least to keep the users connected to the latest on the market.

In the traditional Slate color with the new sleeker model design and a larger screen, the new iPod nano 7th Generation is sure to turn tables in the market. It weighs around 31g or 101oz on the weighing scale, so can be regarded as lighter than the previous Apple iPod nano versions.

The larger, 2.5’’ multi-touch enabled LCD screen given an extra edge to the device while it gains back the click wheel after it being absent in the Sixth Generation iPod nano design model. A video playback of 720p @ 30 frames per second, with a granted resolution of 340×432 pixels carries out a tremendously exclusive experience for watching videos, movies, etc on the devie.
A non replaceable lithium-ion battery gives the device a single charge run time of 30 hours on music playback and straight 3.5 hours video playback, that is pretty good for the device kind.
A traditional 16GB internal memory is maintained with the device while no other higher memory option set had been made available. However, the anodized aluminum Slate body makes up for the shortcoming with its pleasing appearance.

Using a USB Cable with a Apple Lightening Connector, the device also can be connected by using the inbuilt Bluetooth feature to connect the device and play music via car stereos or loudspeakers for a musically enriched experience.

Click here for the ipod nano on Amazon

Certain user friendly buttons had been included in the device to make it an easier compatibility for the user. A Quick Start Guide, Accelerometer, Workout Calculator, etc are few extra features.
Also, easy shuffle buttons to switch over between tracks and convenient volume control buttons make it a device of choice for most of the music lovers and will gain few points for the device.

It is another showdown between two giants. You might term it as the battle of the titans if you think of it as a battle pitting Google on one side of the ring and Apple on the other side. It is a question of whether Android or iOS is the OS to go for. Actually, if you ask me, I will say it is a matter of preference rather than which is better than the other. Back to Google Nexus 7 vs iPad Mini; they are currently some of the best 7-inch tablets to have ever hit the market judging by their specs.

Google Nexus 7 is currently proving to be one of the most powerful devices in the 7-inch tablet category. However, the iPad mini also looks quite promising . So what is the difference between the two tablets?

The iPad Mini comes with the older A5 processor and not the new A6 chip. This is not expected to give Google Nexus 7 much competition in terms of processor power considering that the Nexus 7 houses an impressive quad core Tegra processor that clocks a speed of 1.2GHz. In benchmark tests, the quad core processor proved to perform better than even the A5X chip featured in iPad 3. To complement the processor power, Google Nexus 7 comes with a 1GB RAM and we expect iPad Mini to also have the same amount of RAM capacity.

When it comes to display, Apple is a little bit disadvantaged as a result of its lack to feature a Retina display like its larger counterpart, iPad3. Instead, it features a display with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768, same as iPad 2 which means that it has no capability of supporting widescreen video content unlike the case with the Google Nexus 7 which features a screen that supports a 16:9 aspect ratio, which offers support for widescreen video content.

Lastly, iPad Mini runs on iOS 6 which is just but an upgrade of iOS 5. On the other hand, Nexus 7 runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1 which offers a smooth UI unlike the Ice Cream Sandwich version. In addition, the new Android version offers amazing notifications and enhanced Google apps.

Earlier in this week Apple finally announced its long rumored 7.9 inch iPad mini at a media event in San Jose.

The iPad mini features a Lightning dock connector that allows the device to be only 7.2 millimeter thick or as thin as a pencil as apple would say. The iPad mini features the same A5 processor and screen resolution as the old iPad 2. This is good news as the new iPad mini can run all the same apps as the old iPad 2. It weighs half as much as the iPad and features both front and rear camera.

The only down side is that the new iPad mini does not have a retina display as it runs at 1024 x 768.
If you are interested in the iPad mini then you will be able to preorder on 26 October and apple will then start shipping on 2 November. The price of the 16GB version of the iPad mini is around $330.

Apple is a bit late to show with it 7.9 inch tablet but it seems that it is a solid device that will get them an even larger market share than they already have.

If you have been staying up to date with Apple rumors you would know that several parts of the new iPhone 5 have leaked hinting at a bigger screen and a smaller connection port. The most common release date leak for the iPhone 5 seems to be around September 21. But there has also been several rumors that apple will release a smaller iPad called the iPad mini that is 7.85 inch and would compete with smaller tablets.

The problem is that although there have been several people claiming to have inside info and that the iPad mini will be released on September 12 the fact remains that there has been no actual parts leaking like the iPhone 5. This begs the question is the iPad mini really coming or are all the rumors fake ?

It would make sense for Apple to launch a smaller tablet to compete with Google’s new nexus 7 and Samsungs Note for even more market share. With the release date being right around the corner one would expect more leaks from all over the place but that does not seem to be the case.

With the rumored release of both the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini next month it should be really interesting to see what happens.

Bloomberg reports that apple is planning to launch smaller and cheaper version of the iPad by the end of the year. This is no surprise is it will be apples answer to all these new 7 inch tablet appearing on the market.

It is said that they might announce it in October and it will not feature the high def screen that the current iPad has. The price is expected to be around the same as the tablet google recently announced the 7 inch Google Nexus 7 at around $200.

Apple is currently in the lead with market share with a whopping 61%. But with Microsoft and Google coming to play it will be hard for apple to keep it this high. Googles plan was to win the 7 inch tablet market uncontested with its Nexus 7 but now that Apple is entering that market as well they might have an uphill battle ahead of them.

With Google with they Nexus 7 and Microsoft with their Surface coming to the tablet market the competition will be bigger than ever for Apple. In the end more competition is better for us the consumers are prices go down and quality goes up.
